Straight answers before you start

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about choosing a plan, moving your contacts and getting started with PDQ.

Getting started

Choosing PDQ

Can I start free?

Yes. PDQ Free includes up to 2,000 subscribers, 12,000 monthly sends and one user. You can move to a paid plan when your audience, sending volume or team grows.

Which plan should I choose?

The right plan needs to cover your subscriber count, expected monthly sends and number of users. Plan my switch checks all three and explains the lowest published plan that fits.

What counts as a subscriber?

A subscriber is a unique email address in your PDQ account. If the same address appears in more than one list, it is counted once toward your account total.

What if I have more than 100,000 subscribers?

Use Plan my switch and PDQ will review your requirements. Published plans cover up to 100,000 subscribers; larger accounts need a custom recommendation.

Can I import subscribers from another platform?

Yes. PDQ accepts standard CSV exports from Mailchimp, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign and most other email platforms.

What happens to my templates and automations?

Your subscriber data can be imported, but templates and automations may need to be recreated in PDQ. Plan my switch will recommend the right level of migration help for your setup.

Can PDQ help with the migration?

Yes. You can move yourself with the Getting started guide, choose Assisted Migration for $199 USD, or choose Fully Managed Migration at the limited-time price of $599 USD, normally $999 USD.

How do I know how much help I need?

Plan my switch asks about your current platform, list size, sending needs, team and technical confidence. It then recommends a plan and an appropriate migration route, with an explanation.

Are prices in Australian dollars?

No. Paid plans and migration services are priced in United States dollars. Applicable GST is added at checkout for Australian customers.

What is the monthly sending allowance?

It is the number of campaign emails included in your plan during each monthly quota period. Choose a plan that covers both your subscriber count and expected sending volume.

What happens if I need to send more?

Choose a higher plan with enough monthly sends before sending your campaign. Plan my switch can identify the lowest plan that covers your expected volume.

Does every plan include the core email tools?

Yes. PDQ plans are based on capacity rather than stripped-back feature tiers, so you upgrade as your audience, sending volume or team needs grow.

Connections and responsible sending

How can I connect PDQ to my website?

You can add subscribers through WordPress and Elementor connections, embedded forms, standard imports or the PDQ API. The best route depends on how your site is built.

PDQ includes tools for opt-in management, unsubscribe handling and suppression lists. You remain responsible for collecting valid consent and using the platform in line with the laws that apply to your organisation.
